OAGEE is pleased to announce the 2019 Fall Conference at Ashbury College in Ottawa on Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9, 2019.  The theme of this year’s conference ‘Geography: A Natural Advantage, Water at the confluence of unification and division, reflects the location of the conference along the Ottawa River and its geography.


Registration to the Fall Conference includes:

  • Two days brimming with inspirational and highly relevant professional learning opportunities. 
  • Included in the registration fees are choices of workshops, bag (full of goodies), Geographical Concept Posters (English or French), Conference Poster (English or French), continental breakfast, refreshments each morning, lunch served on-site, afternoon snacks and refreshments, and Friday Night get together at the wonderful Centre for Geography and Exploration (Headquarters’ of RCGS and CanGeo Education). Our energetic keynote speaker will be Cory Trepanier (Painter, Filmmaker, and Explorer) will speak by a breathtaking view of the Ottawa River and the Rideau Falls.
  • Over 50 different workshops covering diverse topics to choose from. 
  • Field Trip to the Laflèche Cave on the Friday afternoon (Minimal price of $15.)
  • Land Acknowledgement from Verna McGregor, and an inspirational address from Meredith Brown, founder of the Riverkeeper. 
  • Latest resources and services, including one of the latest Canadian Geographic ‘Giant Ontario Parks Floor Map’ of Ontario Parks.
  • Lots of bilingual and French workshops to choose from for Immersion teachers of Geography and Environmental Education. 
  • More than 20 exhibitors from Major Associations, textbook companies, Museum Resources and Activities, Universities & Colleges, Travel Agencies for students, etc.
  • Unlimited networking opportunities with over 200 educators and education leaders from across Ontario and some from other provinces.

In order to help your colleagues and volunteers to plan effectively, extra fees for field trips are non-refundable.





If you are new to OAGEE and not a member yet, or if you have not renewed your OAGEE membership, you will be able to do so along with registering for the Fall Conference.

After registering for the conference, delegates will receive two automatic emails: 1. communication opt-in confirmation; 2. invoice and conference ID number for session selection.

All registrations are paid in full during on-line registration.
