This session will explore a variety of proven strategies, ready to use lessons, and discussion of philosophies that can be used to effectively teach the concepts of geographic thinking. Session time will be dedicated to developing a thorough understanding of each concept of thinking, how to teach and embed them in your own lessons, as well as the sharing of complete course plans/lessons including CGC1D, CGC1P, CGF3M, CGG30, CGW4U with the concepts of thinking already embedded. Through the use of inquiry-based learning, graphic organizers and GIS analysis, you will become an expert on delivering lessons using Spatial Significance, Patterns and Trends, Interrelationships and Geographic Perspectives.
