Conference InformationThe Fall 2009 Conference in Peterborough was a huge success! Thank you to the conference planning team for hosting this wonderful event! ResourcesLessons developed by Faculty of Education students from Queen’s, that utilize Statistics Canada data and resources are now available on the OAGEE website under Resources. In addition, the PowerPoint from the Fall Conference workshop that was presented by Stats Canada is also available on the website. http://www.insideeducation.ca/ If you go to Learning Materials, resources on Alberta forestry, water resources, and electrical generation in poster, DVD and CD formats are available for the cost of postage. http://www.forgefx.com/casestudies/prenticehall/ph/topo/topo.htm is an interactive website whereby students can build topographic landscapes and see the results in 3D. http://www.juicygeography.co.uk/resourceslist.htm has a list of interesting geography resources including animations to lesson plans. Dynamic GeographyThank you for Northwestern Ontario Councillor, Randy Wilke for developing the new resource, Dynamic Geography. Dynamic Geography is full of ideas that can be used to promote geography in general and specifically your geography department and geography courses.
