The 2016 Fall Conference Committee is encouraging all registrants to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). There will be on hand some Apple IPad’s that can be loaned out for the day, however, workshops that are using ArcGIS Online work better with a laptop device. All registrants will have access to WIFI.
 
Presenters will need to bring their own devices to present from as workshop rooms are only equipment with Apple TV, projectors, speakers, and flat screen televisions. TCS will provide adaptors if a presenter happens to bring a PC laptop, otherwise, MACs can connect best through AirPlay.

If any of your needs at your tables have changed, please inform Cory ASAP.
 
The location for exhibitors to park and unload table materials at will be shown on the TCS Campus map. You will have an opportunity to drop things off at Trinity College School during the 2 windows outlined in the general schedule
 
Pull up to the circular drive in the Google image to unload. The Exhibitors Hall is through the doors, up a flight of stairs, down the hall and back down a flight of stairs. There will be a floor plan of exhibitor positions available so that you can find your table﴾s﴿. 55 Deblaquire St N, Port Hope, ON will be your GPS address. Parking will be indicated with signs.
 
There will be company signs on each table﴾s﴿ to indicate your booth location in the Marketplace.
 
Those that have asked for power, should still bring an extension cord or at least a power bar ﴾outlets will either be on the floor or at waist level behind your table on a ledge﴿.
 
Do you have any door prizes or other swag that you can donate to the conference? If you have door prizes and/or items that can go into attendee bags, and are in the Toronto area they can be delivered to Paul Hackl at the address below, no later that November 10 at 4 PM. I will transport them to Trinity College School the next morning.

OAGEE would like to extend this invitation for your company, university, college, or organization to exhibit your goods and services and/or sponsor the Fall 2016 OAGEE conference at Trinity College Schools in Port Hope, Ontario November 11 & 12,  This event attracts approximately 200 delegates from across the province, including teachers, department leaders, and curriculum coordinators from both elementary and secondary schools.  
 
The search for dynamic resources and initiatives continues to be a need for teachers to support and enhance their implementation of the new Ontario geography and environmental education curriculum.  
 
Throughout the 2-day conference there will be many opportunities for the delegates to meet with your representatives. The conference will be held in a marketplace type space where the breaks, keynote address, lunch, annual general meeting, and raffles will be held. Workshops will take place on the upper level of the facility.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS OCT. 28TH

OAGEE is pleased to announce the 2016 Fall Conference at Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ontario on November 11 & 12. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Power of the Map’, reflecting not only that it is the International Year of the Map, but also the importance that maps play within the geography curriculum and classrooms in Ontario.

Registration to the Fall Conference will include:

Two days brimming with inspirational and highly relevant professional learning opportunities;

  • A powerful keynote address from Helen Scott, Director of the Canadian Network for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, and an epidemiologist at the University of Toronto;
  • Access to the Marketplace, featuring the latest geographic resources and services;
  • The revealing of Canadian Geographic’s newest Giant Floor Map – Natural Resources Canada (celebrating the significant role GIS and geospatial technologies play in our day-to-day lives;
  • Unlimited networking opportunities with over 200 educators, education leaders, and exhibitors from across Ontario.

Registration for the Fall Conference will commence shortly after the first week back to school in September.
