2013 Fall Conference November 1 & 2, 2013
Balsillie School of International Affairs, Waterloo, Ontario
CALL FOR PRESENTERS
Workshop and presentation proposals are now being accepted for the OAGEE Fall 2013 Conference to be held at the Balsillie School of International Affairs in Waterloo Ontario, November 1st and 2nd, 2013. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2013.
Sessions will run Friday morning, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Each session will be 50 minutes in length, with the option for a double session if additional time is required.
There are various sized meeting spaces ranging from small rooms for 8 to 10 people, seminar rooms for 20 or 40 as well as a fully equipped lecture theatre for 250. There will be a laptop lab and Wifi access in all of the other areas. Please let us know your technology requirements when you submit your proposals and we will do our best to accommodate them.
All applicable workshop and presentation proposals will be considered for the conference. However, we are encouraging potential presenters to consider providing sessions that focus on the following highlighted session themes:
- aboriginal issues
- assessment, evaluation and reporting strategies
- blended learning
- classroom technologies
- differentiated instruction
- e-learning
- essential learning
- field work
- geographic literacy
- geo-technology
- grade 7-8

- natural resources
- new curriculum supports
- SHSM
- simulations
- skills for post secondary
- spatial skills
- sustainability
- travel and tourism,
- urban issues,
- transitions, 8-9, 12-ps

One presenter from each accepted workshop will receive one $100 discount towards their registration fee for the conference. Additional presenters who wish to participate in OAGEE Fall 2013 Conference activities beyond their session are asked to register separately for the conference. Notifications regarding successful submissions will be provided by the end of June 2013.
All workshop or presentation proposals MUST be submitted online.
